Process and Notes from Hanson
Process for Completion and Notes From Hanson
1. Order your sequences
-SCRIPTING (1-2 people orders each section)
-what pieces are similar?
-create a "bin" with extra comments included
-make it cohesive
2. Re-arrange the sequences based on the whole content
-keep the big picture in mind
-learn to let go of unnecessary details and walk away with the most important factors
3. Listen to it with closed eyes
-make final touches to the overall piece and polish
-critique for further review and show it to Hanson
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Content = Skeleton and MAIN POINT Key Notes: -Tighter is better (balance length with the amount of information being said, don't worry about length) -don't feel trapped, go get the footage if you need it! -work on ordering sequences while still gathering footage to save time -discuss the state of editing by specific dates and DEADLINES (they are included in the calendars)
-Communicate and work together as a team, one person shouldn't be doing all the work and one person shouldn't be doing nothing as well

its on the excel sheet on the server but anyway the schools listed on there are CCS, Ball State, OSU, Akron, BG, Kent, and for the rest just do a little online research just in case we missed some.
ReplyDeleteYeah... wanted to get a head start on this, but without that list this just isn't working. Saving it for when we all meet up to get some stuff ironed out.
ReplyDeleteAlso, question, what kind of depth are we expecting for this map? Keep it simple, or make it a map closer to these:
Ohio Map
Michigan Map
We don't really have all that much time to wait until we meet up again on Monday to finish the map... Jarrhette gave you the schools above. What else do you need clarification on?
ReplyDeleteIt should be sinple, remember just choose a color scheme and color in the entire map. Place the cities in the surrounding areas in the appropriate locations then place the school logos in their locations according to location. Keep each city name and school logo on it's own layer for animation reasons...
Okay, so, no lines that are like roads or anything, just some city names and the school logos for the places mentioned above on a colored map, got it.
ReplyDeleteAlso that post I did, his post wasn't there when I was typing mine. He beat me by a minute XD
Yup, sounds good. What is the status on everyone and their assignments? Remember that we are meeting tomorrow night at 8:30 in the class room. See you then!

Nothing stopping me right now from that meeting. The map is done... but I personally hate how it turned out. I tried tons of small fixes but overall I can't end up liking it. Maybe you guys might have a nice touch for it, or might actually like it, but it's done save for where to put the logos (the logos are there, they are just not in their spots, Google made that placement kinda difficult).
